The Questors Academy presents
Trelawny of the 'Wells'by Arthur Wing Pinero
Timeless comic love story
Few plays have warmed so many hearts for so many years as Pinero's romantic comedy.
Trelawny of the ‘Wells’ is a love story set in the extravagant and colourful world of 19th century theatre. Rose Trelawny, the darling of the 'Wells' is giving up her career to marry her sweetheart, the son of an ultra-posh old-fashioned stuck-up family.
But can she survive the stifling boredom? Can they tolerate her bohemianism? What will happen when her old thespian friends come calling to rescue her? Can her love for her fiancé survive? And what will her fiancé do to win her back?
This play is filled with wonderful theatrical characters, but it carries an inspiring plea for honesty and truth: both in the love lives of the characters, and in the plays they perform.
The talented students who gave you Love's Labour's Lost now reach the climax of their two-year training journey.
