Sunday and the WarWritten by Paul RyanThe Blitz, the bombs, the doodlebugs. Vera Lynn singing all the time. It was awful', says one character in our new play, Sunday and the War. Houdini and BessWritten and directed by David HovatterFollowing the relationship between Houdini and his wife, Bess, the play is a touching insight into when people fall in love and how, over the years, the innocence and purity of first love becomes diluted over time as the pressures of work and life create a strain on a couple's time together.
