Doctor Marigold is not a doctor at all but a cheap-jack - a fast talking market seller. Doctor is merely his name. Set in 1864, the story follows this travelling salesman who adopts a young deaf girl whom he names after his recently deceased daughter Sophie.
Doctor Marigold is one of Charles Dickens' favourite short stories – one that he himself spent 200 hours rehearsing and performing on tour.
Garry Boon’s solo show runs for a limited time in the UK from October to November 2018.
